Anna's Testimony
Because life at the orphanage isn't all fun and games, it's no air conditioning, hand-me-down clothes, chores, scraped knees, teenagers who talk back, broken hearts, lice-filled hair, sad smiles, bread and milk dinners, not enough water for showers everyday...it's
explaining to children why their mommies and daddies abused or left them, it's wiping tears, it's sticky hands and stinky feet, it's being able to flexible because every day is completely different. However, there's this indefinable beauty in the daily imperfection, messiness of life, and coloring outside the lines, having the honor of being with these kids is by far the best thing in my life. I wouldn't trade even one day with them, They've taught me so much about grace, mercy, unconditional love, forgiveness, and joy. They make me a better person.
